We mourn the passing of Bea Miller who, for over 60 years, served Theatre Memphis and the
Memphis theater community in such an unselfish way. Bea was never afraid to do the job that needed
to be done. She dirtied her hands backstage, charmed in the front of the house,
innovated in the box office, stitched in time with costume construction and
even once performed on stage – which she admittedly one time confessed, “I
belong in the audience.” Row D, seat 113 … on the aisle … will forever be an
honored place. Rest in peace our Queen Bea. Exit stage left. The curtain will
never come down on your presence and your spotlight will forever shine.
