COVID-19 Policies & Practices for Volunteers
First and foremost, thank you so much for being flexible during this unique time during our history. We are so excited to invite volunteers back to our newly renovated space for the 100th season. In an effort to follow CDC guidelines for good hygiene during the COVID-19 outbreak and in an attempt to maintain our constant goal of caring for our community partners (that’s you!), Theatre Memphis has instituted some policies that we are requesting all our participants follow.
We are following a rigorous cleaning and disinfecting schedule for common spaces and high touch areas. Whenever possible and appropriate we are asking that participants clean and disinfect their own spaces as well. (You will find supplies in common spaces to assist with this measure.) We are also asking participants to practice social distancing by maintaining a separation of at least six feet away from each other, when possible. A face covering (face mask or face shield) should be worn at all times. (Participants are invited to use their own face covering or have one provided by the theatre.) Participants are encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands often while at the theatre. (Hand sanitizer will be in supply throughout the theatre).
You can read more about our COVID-19 policies and practices for specific volunteer groups below. While these documents are specifically intended for volunteers and guest staff, all participants and staff at Theatre Memphis are being asked to follow similar guidelines.
