Jason Spitzer

Winner of the 2019 Volunteer of the Year. A true Renaissance gentleman, we are proud that Jason calls Theatre Memphis “home”. We are privileged that his heart and dedication is to TM. During the 2018-19 season, he performed in one show (receiving an Ostrander theatre nomination), directed three productions - of which one he adapted for Theatre Memphis and was recognized with 10 Ostrander nominations. What keeps bringing him back? True to his wit he says, “My car.”

The Department of Outreach and Education/ShoWagon at Theatre Memphis seeks to educate and empower the community and typically overlooked audiences by expressing oral and written language through a musical and visually expressive vocabulary. We strive to fulfill it by working with children and adults of all ages, all over the Memphis area.
