Theatre Memphis Tech Academy is a free mentoring/apprenticeship program for students who are 13-19 years of age to learn about and participate in all realms of technical theatre: stage management, lighting, sound, sets/props, costumes, makeup, and more.
This year-round program will offer 12 to 16 workshops a year with the goal of training teens within their area of interests. This program will:
1) Include learning hands on skills that will translate into other areas of their lives.
2) Allow them to take the knowledge they acquire back to their schools or churches where they can share their experience with the other organizations that require production based skills.
3) Empower the next generation of the theatre community.
