Frequently Asked Questions

Our current policy is to highly recommend masks at each patron’s discretion for everyone who enters the facility and to wear the masks for the duration of the visit. We request all guests be respectful of individual patrons’ choices in regards to social distancing and use of the sanitation stations located throughout the building. Theatre Memphis does not endorse any third-party ticket sale site for the purchase of any ticket for admission to our productions or events. When purchasing through our website or box office, you will get the best price, best seat selection and guaranteed admission. Please be aware that if you are purchasing from a patron who is re-selling their ticket, we do require an actual, original hard copy ticket for admission. Make sure you get that ticket from them when you buy it. We are not able to change the name of the purchaser in our ticket system once it has been purchased.
We are encouraging patrons to arrive no more that 45 minutes prior to the curtain time and to practice pratical social distancing at this time. Venue doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. The performance begins promptly at the time noted on your ticket. The Lohrey Theatre is assigned seating but the Next Stage is open seating so you should adjust your arrival accordingly to get the best seats available.

All productions are open to the public. Any pre-cast roles will be announced prior to the audition dates. All roles are non-paying volunteer positions, but the experience is one that is totally professional. To find out more about audition dates and signing up for an audition, click here.
As a community theatre, Theatre Memphis can only survive with a diverse volunteer base. Most any skill can be put to use and you can find out more about volunteering by clicking here.
Both the Lohrey Theatre and the Next Stage are wheelchair accessible with handicapped-accessible restrooms on the same level as the main lobby to both venues. Generally, shows are performed during the run dates on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays @ 7:30 pm, and Sunday matinees @ 2 pm. Performances may be added as needed. A Christmas Carol is the exception with weekday and weekend performances that are scheduled for 7 pm and 3 pm. You can view the most current performance schedules here.

There is no specific dress code, though appropriate attire is encouraged for a public event.
There is ample FREE parking on the campus with lighting and a security presence during every performance.

The black box Next Stage seats up to 110 and is also wheelchair accessible with state of the art equipment for sound and lighting.
