Theatre Memphis, a nationally recognized community theatre in the heart of Memphis, is looking to add new, friendly faces to our evening/weekend part-time Box Office staff. The Box Office is often the initial point of contact for visitors and we want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcome and valued. A successful candidate should be outgoing with a natural talent for customer service and a strong attention to detail. 

Box Office duties include:

  • Process phone and walk-up ticket sales including single tickets, member reservations, season ticket sales, gift certificates and donations using Tickets.com ProVenue ticketing system. Process cash, check, and credit card sales and reconcile cash drawer at the end of the day.
  • On performance days will assist in preparing/checking supplies for Front of House staff including Will Call tickets, usher sign in/schedule, hearing assist system, and other supplies as needed.
  • Responsible for knowing and communicating information about performances, season memberships, special events, educational offerings, auditions, volunteer opportunities, and other general information about Theatre Memphis.
  • Help maintain and update our subscriber database and e-newsletter database.
  • Assist with preparing mailings to our membership as well as other office duties including typing, copying, filing, directing phone calls, taking messages, accepting mail and other deliveries, and keeping the Box Office area neat and organized.

Lohrey Theatre

Seats up to 411

Both the Lohrey Theatre and the Next Stage Theatre are wheelchair accessible with a handicapped accessible restroom on the same level as the main lobby to both venues. The Lohrey Theatre also provides hearing assisted equipment to any who may require or request it, at no charge.
