Theatre Memphis is a nonprofit community theatre dedicated to producing engaging, high-quality theatrical experiences for all of our participants. A Memphis arts institution since 1920, Theatre Memphis is a well-established theatre staffed with talented professionals who are also great mentors. Members of our community have the unique opportunity to learn more about theatre production and hone their talents in a professional setting while enjoying a community theatre’s affable spirit. We invite any interested community member to get involved onstage, backstage or in front of house. We seek to engage diverse and energetic volunteer teams that comprise many shapes, sizes, colors, genders and ages.
Ours is an educational theatre; if you have an area of interest but not much experience, our department heads would be happy to teach you. We offer various positions and would be delighted to have you share and expand your talents with us.
The nature of our volunteer needs requires that most volunteers commit to an extended period of service, but we do have a few positions with a lighter schedule. Please refer to our list of Volunteer Positions for more details about specific volunteer opportunities.
